During the day in Haarlem you can enjoy and have a drink on one of the many cozy terraces around the cathedral Grote of St. Bavo Kerk. Popular to gays and lesbians is cafe/restaurant "De Roemer" on the Botermarkt, situated next to the department store V&D and the Vijfhoek.

Haarlem is well known for its large variety of good restaurants. For intimate ambiance and good food visit restaurants in and around the cathedral, Lange Veerstraat and Kleine Houtstraat (city center).
